Let’s start with the basics

After working with business people in Germany for the last 4 years, I’ve come to realize how important it is to understand the fundamentals of a language.

Just like a house, you need to build your language skills on solid ground.

This course deals with the most fundamental of all grammar topics: Tenses.

For example, you’ll learn the difference between the Present Simple and the Present Continuous. Is it correct to say, “I eat a slice of Schwarzwälderkirschtorte now” or “I’m eating a slice of Schwarzwälderkirschtorte now”?

You’ll also learn to distinguish the difference between the Present Perfect and the Simple Past. These are two tenses that give Germans, in particular, many difficulties. What is correct? “I have gone to the store yesterday” or “I went to the store yesterday”.

You’ll learn the rules, compare similar tenses to each other and we’ll do lots of practice exercises together. That way we make sure your house is built on a solid foundation. 😉

Location

Lessons take place over Skype. That way you can learn from the comfort of your home without having to waste time in traffic.
