Is the first lesson free?

Yes. The first lesson is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and see if the fit is right.

How do I pay?

You can pay by bank transfer. You must pay for the first 4 lessons in advance. After that, payments are made on a monthly basis.

Do you offer in-person classes?

Yes. If you live in Freiburg im Breisgau or in the surrounding area, I can come to you personally.

Why are in person lessons more expensive?

I must include travel expenses, time and printed material into the price.

Can I also take lessons by phone or WhatsApp?

Yes. Often, students call me while they are on the road to visit a customer or on their way home after work. WhatsApp is also a great tool you can use to send me audio recordings or text messages that I correct for you.

How do Skype lessons work?

The lesson is usually broken down into 4 parts.

  • Introduction – 5 minutes
  • Quiz of Previous Mistakes – 10 minutes
  • Business Topic – 40 minutes
  • Quick review/Questions – 5 minutes

Do you work on weekends?

No. We all need a break. Even I.

Can I choose the topics we discuss in the lessons?

Yes. You can choose the Custom 8 course which gives you the power to decide which topics we focus on. As our lessons develop, we can also reserve time to work on your specific weak points. Such as, grammar, pronunciation or your industry specific vocabulary.

How long are the courses?

The courses range between 12 to 15 hours. Note, this is an estimate. It could take more or less time, depending on the personal needs of the student.

How long will it take me to speak confidently?

Like I tell all my students, I will give you the tools to speak confidently, but you need to build your house. It depends on how disciplined and focused you are. But what is certain is that I will walk with you on this journey and keep you accountable.

Do I have to buy a book for the lessons?

No. All course material will be provided to you.

Can I message you with questions outside of lesson times?

Yes. I try to be accessible to all of my students and as soon as I have a free moment, I will respond to your messages.

Do you offer company discounts?

Yes. If you pay for the full course in advance, your company receives a 15% discount.

Do I get a discount if I pay for the entire course in advance?

Yes. You receive a 15% discount if you pay for the 1 on 1, Group or Custom 8 courses in advance.

Do you offer classes to groups over 3 people?

At this moment, no. It is very important for me that each person in my lessons gets the opportunity to speak and develop their skills. That becomes more difficult as the class size increases.

What is the cancelation policy?

If you cancel with more than 24 hours in advance, there is no penalty. If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours in advance, you pay for 50% of that lesson.

What level of English must I have to do your courses?

I have worked with people of all levels. From beginner to advanced. Although it is preferable if you have a foundation in the English language so that you can take full advantage of the course content, it is not a requirement.

Do you offer flexible time schedules?

Yes. We can find possible time slots in the afternoon or in the evening.

What happens when I get lazy and don’t want to do my English tasks?

This is a problem that many students face. I am devoted to your success, and I expect the same from you. So, don’t let your Schweinehund defeat you.

How long have you been teaching for?

I’ve been teaching for seven years in total. Everyday I try to improve my techniques and methods. You can be certain that I take my work very seriously.
