Vocabulary Words:

  1. To impart (verb): make (information) known.
  2. Advantage (noun): a condition or circumstance that puts one in a favourable or superior position.
  3. Trap (noun): a trick by which someone is misled into acting contrary to their interests or intentions.
  4. Independent contractor (noun): an individual is an independent contractor if the payer has the right to control or direct only the result of the work and not what will be done and how it will be done. If you are an independent contractor, then you are self-employed.
  5. Commodity (noun): a useful or valuable thing.
  6. Chore (noun): a routine task, especially a household one.

Phrases to Remember:

  1. faux pas: an embarrassing or tactless act or remark in a social situation.
  2. fizzle out: Fail, end weakly, especially after a hopeful beginning.
  3. to go hard: to work hard or to do something with intensity.
  4. long game: refers to active participation in achieving goals which may take some time.
  5. pain point: specific problems faced by current or prospective customers in the marketplace.
  6. stick to something: to continue doing or using (something) especially when it is difficult to do so
  7. to outgrow someone: to stop being interested in or involved with (something or someone) because you have changed as you have grown older.
  8. bounce ideas off of someone: to talk about (something, such as an idea) with (someone) in an informal way in order to get an opinion
